Fraud reported in

case of dog purchase

LOCK HAVEN — A city resident is out $169.99 after wiring that amount of money to Africa in return for a dog. The animal for sale was found on Craigslist.com, police said. Police did not identify the victim, but said the person from 300 Foundation Drive responded to a Craigslist ad to buy a dog and wired $169.99 to Cameroon, Africa, via Western Union. The dog was never received, police said.

Electronics stolen

in city burglary

LOCK HAVEN — A person or people broke into a city apartment recently and stole electronic equipment.

The burglary was reported at 214.5 E. Water St., according to Lock Haven police, who said an unknown suspect forced open a door and stole numerous electronics valued at $300.

The theft occurred sometime between Oct. 31 and Nov. 7. The investigation is ongoing.

Harassment reported

LOCK HAVEN — A case of harassment was reported on Nov. 11.

According to Lock Haven police, two female juveniles got into a physical altercation in Grouse Alley near Dickey Elementary School in Lock Haven. Police said that a 14-year-old juvenile struck a 12-year-old juvenile in the face numerous times while pulling her hair.

Two-vehicle crash

LOCK HAVEN — A two-vehicle crash occurred on Nov. 12 at approximately 3:22 p.m. when Shyann Mincer of Mill Hall rear-ended James Young of Loganton at 955 Bellefonte Ave. in Lock Haven, according to Lock Haven City Police. No injuries were reported, but Mincer’s vehicle had to be towed from the scene and she was cited for following too closely, police said.

Driver cited in

two-vehicle crash

LOCK HAVEN — A driver was cited for following too closely in a two-vehicle crash on Nov. 9, Lock Haven City Police report. According to police, Russell Spangler’s pickup truck struck the rear of a vehicle being operated by Gregory W. McGowan of Renovo at Susquehanna Avenue in Lock Haven at 2:05 p.m. Spangler was given a citation in the crash, according to police. Both vehicles were driven from the scene and no injuries were reported, police said.

No injuries reported

LOCK HAVEN — A two-vehicle crash along East Water Street in Lock Haven resulted in no injuries on Nov. 9, Lock Haven City Police report. Police say that a vehicle being driven by Kalli-Ane Boone of Jersey Shore was attempting to turn onto North Jay Street when her vehicle was struck by a vehicle being driven by Kevin Barner of Beech Creek turned into her vehicle, striking the passenger side door.

Both vehicles were driven from the scene and no injuries were reported, police said. Barner was cited for his role in the crash, according to police.
