Access device fraud

BELLEFONTE — A 52-year-old woman and 55-year-old man were victims of access device fraud after their Facebook account was hacked, resulting in the loss of $800, state police at Rockview said.

The man and woman had their banking information on the account, police said.

The theft occurred on Nov. 6, police said.

Vehicle rear ended

PHILIPSBURG — No one was injured in a two vehicle crash that occurred on Nov. 9 at 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Ninth and East Presqueisle streets, state police at Rockview said.

Erica L. Holmes, 40, of Karthaus, Pa., was stopped on Ninth Street, attempting to make a left turn, when her 2008 Pontiac G5 was rear ended by a 2005 Ford Ranger, driven by David J. Kohute, 18, of Ramey, Pa., police said.

Both Holmes and Kohute’s vehicles were towed from the scene by Dunlap’s Towing, police said.

Kohute was issued a citation for following too closely, police said.

Vehicle strikes deer

CENTRE HALL — Debrah J. Rivera, 45, of Centre Hall, was traveling east on Earlystown Road when her 2008 Chevrolet Malibu struck a deer that ran out onto the roadway, state police at Rockview said.

Both Rivera and her passenger, Bryson E. Wilkinson, 23, of Centre Hall, were wearing their seatbelts and were not injured, police said.

DUI alleged

BELLEFONTE — A 27-year-old Bellefonte man may be charged with driving under the influence after a traffic stop on the 700 Block of North Allegheny Street, Spring Township, Centre County, state police at Rockview said.

The investigation continues.

Drug possession at SCI Benner

BELLEFONTE — A 28-year-old man inmate at SCI Benner was found in possession of suboxone during a cell search, state police at Rockview said.

The incident occurred on Oct. 30 and police are continuing to investigate the incident.

DUI and drug

possession alleged

BELLEFONTE — The driver of a 2002 Subaru Outback was arrested for driving under the influence and drug possession after a traffic stop was conducted on Interstate 99 in Spring Township, Centre County on Nov. 13, state police at Rockview said.

Shed burglarized

PHILIPSBURG — State police at Rockview are investigating an incident of a burglary that occurred between Oct. 20 and 21.

An unknown suspect broke into a shed on the 100 Block of North Eleventh Street and stole 100 pennies, police said.

PFA violation

BELLEFONTE — State police at Rockview investigated a possible PFA violation where the suspect sent Facebook messages to the victim between Oct. 18 and 26.

The PFA order stated there is to be no contact including through social media, police said.

Two vehicle crash

HUBLERSBURG — No one was injured in a two vehicle crash that occurred on Oct. 30 at 5:32 p.m., state police at Rockview said.

James M. Purtell, 59, of Bellefonte, was traveling north on Nittany Valley Drive when he slowed to turn into his driveway, police said.

Purtell’s 2014 Chevrolet Silverado was struck by a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Ashley M. Gardner, 65, of Blanchard, who failed to see him slow down, police said.

Gardner’s vehicle suffered disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Rich’s Towing, police said.
