Driver suffers serious injuries

LINDEN — The driver of a 2011 Mazda 6 suffered serious injuries and was transported to Williamsport Hospital by Susquehanna EMS after a two vehicle crash that occurred on Nov. 5 at 2:02 p.m., state police at Montoursville said.

Keith R. McCabe, 28, of Williamsport, was traveling east on Route 220 in Woodward Township, Lycoming County, when his vehicle left the northbound lanes and crossed over the median into the oncoming southbound lanes of traffic, police said.

McCabe’s vehicle struck a 2011 Volvo VNM, driven by Joseph V. Fox, 47, of Portage, Pa., before rotating 90 degrees and stopping in the median, police said.

Fox continued to travel in the southbound lane before stopping in the right turn lane of the roadway, police said.

Police were assisted on the scene by Susquehanna and Jersey Shore EMS, Old Lycoming, Woodward Township and Williamsport Fire Department, PennDot, North Ridge Group Inc. and Bressler’s Towing.

Harassment charged

HOWARD — An incident occurred on Oct. 28 at approximately 1 p.m. when a known male, of Bellefonte, allegedly pushed a female victim along Jacksonville Road in Marion Township, according to state police at Rockview. The accused has been charged with harassment, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

Theft of heating oil

LOCK HAVEN — An unknown person pumped home heating oil at the Nittany Minit Mart location, 25 Woodward Avenue, and then fled without paying, according to Woodward Township police.

The incident occurred on Nov. 5 at approximately 2:30 p.m., police said.

The oil was valued at $15.10 and anyone with information can contact Woodward Township at 570-858-5676, police said.

No injures in two vehicle

accident

LOCK HAVEN –The driver of a purple Chevrolet Sedan was cited for not driving vehicle at safe speeds after rear ending a silver BMW on Nov. 5 at 3:32 p.m., Lock Haven City police said.

James Riccardo, of Lock Haven, was traveling north on Hill Street when a vehicle in front of him slowed to turn left onto Melody Lane, police said.

Riccardo slowed his vehicle to a stop while the unnamed vehicle yielded to traffic, police said.

While stopped, Riccardo’s vehicle was rear ended by the Chevrolet, driven by Abigyal James, of Mackeyville, police said.

James’s vehicle suffered disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Hillside Towing, police said.

Riccardo’s vehicle was able to be driven from the scene but its inspection had previously expired five months ago, police said.

Riccardo was issued a citation for and expired inspection, police said.

No one was injured as a result of the accident, police said.

Vehicle rear ended

LOCK HAVEN — Eden Fletcher, of Valencia, Pa., was cited for following too closely after her 2014 Honda Civic struck a 2013 Honda Accord, driven by Max Joseph, of Marlton, N.J., on North Fairview Street on Nov. 5 at 6:10 p.m., Lock Haven City police said.

Joseph had slowed to a near stop and was about to turn left into his driveway when Fletcher struck his vehicle from behind, police said.

Fletcher’s vehicle suffered disabling front end damage and was towed from the scene by Valley Collision, police said.
