Woman charged with assault
LOCK HAVEN — A Lock Haven woman was charged with aggravated assault and simple assault after allegedly stabbing someone with a pair of scissors.
According to Lock Haven City Police, Drande Whitelock, 21, of Lock Haven stabbed a person in the hand at 4:40 p.m. on Jan. 2. She was taken into custody and placed in jail in lieu of $5,000 bond.
Police did not release the victim’s name and no other details were reported.
Three cars involved in accident
LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven City Police were called to the scene of a three-vehicle accident along Bellefonte Avenue near the CVS on Dec. 31.
According to police, John Calhoun of Lock Haven failed to slow down for stopped traffic and struck a vehicle with such force that it pushed it into a third vehicle at 12:35 p.m.
Calhoun, 79, was driving Cadillac Eldorado. It had an expired inspection and registration. Additionally, his driver’s license was expired.
The second vehicle was a Kia Optima being driven by Alyson Dauber, 32, of Williamsport. The Optima was pushed into a Honda Pilot being driven by Ricky Weaver, 60, of Mill Hall.
All three vehicles sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported.
Calhoun was cited for following too closely, as well as having an expired registration and inspection.
Bellefonte woman charged
BELLEFONTE — A Bellefonte woman was charged with harassment via communication on Jan. 3, State Police at Rockview report.
According to police, Katherine Lowry, 36, of Bellefonte was charged with harassing a 31-year-old female who resides in Walker Township, Centre County.
The investigation continues.
