Saturation detail nets arrests

STATE COLLEGE – State Police at Rockview reported the results of a “saturation detail” that took place from Jan. 7 through Jan. 9 in Rush Township, Worth Township and Philipsburg Borough, Centre County.

As a result, 21 individuals were arrested for drug-related violations, five were charged with possession with intent to deliver, two stolen firearms were recovered and five were charged with DUI. A total of eight warrants were served, 55 citations were issued and there were 83 written warnings. Seized as a result of the detail were approximately 100 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 100 pills, THC wax, THC gummies, marijuana and an undisclosed amount of cash.

DUI alleged

CASTANEA — Michael Moskel, 40, of Houtzdale, was observed committing multiple traffic violations along Paul Mack Boulevard on Dec. 14, at approximately 1 p.m., according to State Police at Lamar. A traffic stop was conducted and through subsequent investigation, Moskel was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Charges have been filed, police said.

Harassment,

physical contact alleged

BEECH CREEK — Larry Coleman, 59, of Lock Haven has been arrested and charged with harassment and physical contact after an incident that happened on Jan. 1 at approximately 5 p.m. According to state police at Lamar, Coleman arrived at 36 Stone House Lane, Beech Creek, and began a verbal argument with Jacob Estright, 26, of Beech Creek, police said. Coleman became physical with Estright, shoving and striking him multiple times in the face with a closed fist, police said.

Minor injuries

in one-vehicle crash

JERSEY SHORE –A single vehicle crash occurred on Jan. 5 at approximately 8 p.m. as Audrey Stewart, 52, of Jersey Shore, was traveling south on State Route 880, Rauchtown Road, and she swerved to miss a deer, losing control of her vehicle and sending her vehicle into an embankment, State Police at Lamar said. Stewart left the scene with her boyfriend, and her vehicle, a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt, was towed from the scene by Bressler’s Towing, police said. Fire police also assisted on scene with traffic control.

No injuries in one-vehicle crash

JERSEY SHORE — A one vehicle crash occurred on Jan. 5 at approximately 8 p.m. as Daniel Edelstein, 64, of Loganton, was traveling south on State Route 880 and hit a patch of black ice losing control of his vehicle, State Police at Lamar said. Edelstein was unable to regain control and hit a guide rail on the west side of the road, disabling his vehicle to the point that it had to be towed from the scene, police said, though he was not injured in the crash.

Money stolen

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven City Police report a theft of $150 in lost property at approximately 5 p.m. on Jan. 8. The crime occurred near Hoberman Park. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact Lock Haven City Police.
