LH man arrested for
assault of 2-year-old
LOCK HAVEN — Nysene Maurice Gray, 40, of 26 Woodland Road, Lock Haven, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and endangering the welfare of a child after an incident involving a 2-year-old girl on Jan. 15, Lock Haven City police said.
Gray is accused of causing injury to the child, including a broken rib, police said.
Gray was placed in the Clinton County Correctional Facility in lieu of $15,000 bail, police said.
Couple arrested on
LINDEN–A couple has been charged with multiple burglaries in the area recently. at Lewis Veterinary Clinic, Route 220, Linden, which occurred shortly after midnight on Jan. 15.
Charles Buday, 43, of Milwaukee, Wisc., and Rachel Hamilton, 30, of Jersey Shore, were charged with multiple counts of burglary, criminal trespass, theft and criminal mischief. Both were arraigned and jailed at the Lycoming County Prison on $75,000 bail.
State Police at Montoursville responded to a burglar alarm at Lewis Veterinary Clinic in Linden shortly after midnight on Jan. 15 and observed damage to the building’s double doors.
Upon investigation, it was determined that a man had gained access to the building and removed a black filing cabinet and then fled the scene, police said.
Video surveillance linked the male with a burglary that had taken place on Jan. 14 along Antlers Lane in Woodward Township, Lycoming County. Police said they made contact with the male, who was exiting a vehicle at the TownPlace Suites by Marriott, Williamsport. The male matched the description of the man seen on the surveillance footage at both burglaries and the vehicle matched description of the vehicle as well, police said.
WOODWARD TOWNSHIP — State Police at Montoursville investigated a crash along Front Street in Woodward Township, Lycoming County on Dec. 22.
According to state police at Montoursville, Megan Kiriakoy of Linden was traveling along Front Street on when she failed to negotiate a turn in the roadway and struck a bank of mailboxes.
Kiriakoy was not injured in the crash, but she was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol/controlled substance, police said.
Her vehicle, a 2011 Nissan Sentra, was driven from the scene.
Woman charged with DUI
JERSEY SHORE — A Jersey Shore woman was charged with driving under the influence following a crash at 9:53 p.m. on Dec. 15 along East Third Street in Loyalsock Township, Lycoming County.
According to state police at Montoursville, Katherine Carpenter, 33, of Jersey Shore, lost control of her 2012 Audi Q5 and struck a light pole in the parking lot of Rite Aid. Carpenter was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol/controlled substance.
