JS woman one of two arrested in burglary
WILLIAMSPORT — A 30-year-old Jersey Shore woman and a 43-year-old Milwaukee, Wis. man were arrested Jan. 14, accused of breaking into a home along Antlers Ln., Williamsport, state police at Montoursville said.
Rachel Hamilton and Charles Buday are accused of breaking into Deborah Steppe’s residence, kicking open the door and making entry through a window, police said.
Once inside the residence the stole the following items: a 12 inch silver necklace, 7 inch bracelets, silver earrings, a gold pendant, bird pattern jewelry necklace and earrings, gold colored necklace with pendant, wrist and pocket watch, gold colored bracelets, metal pins with stone, miscellaneous necklaces/stones, 21 pairs of earrings, a plastic bead necklace and a bag of pearls valued at $50.
Hamilton and Buday then took the jewelry to a local pawn shop where they were recovered and identified by the victim, police said.
Both suspects are also accused of causing damage to a 32 inch exterior metal door, police said.
