Ice strikes windshield
LINDEN — Robert Brown, 63, of Linden, was driving south on North Main Street, Muncy Creek Township, on Feb. 14 when a large piece of ice flew off another vehicle and struck his windshield, according to state police at Montoursville.
Neither Brown nor his passenger, Shawn Shannon, 33, of Montoursville, were hurt, and the other vehicle continued southbound without stopping, police said. Drivers are reminded to completely clear their vehicles of ice and snow before driving.
Two-vehicle accident
LOCK HAVEN — No one was injured in a two vehicle accident that occured on Feb. 14 at 5:15 p.m. along Barton Street in the city, Lock Haven City Police said.
Jennifer Lachat, of Lock Haven, was attempting to make a left hand turn onto the street from her parking lot at 335 Center St. when her 1996 Nissan Sentra struck 2002 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Wilma Bechdel, of Lock Haven, police said.
Lachat told police she did not notice Bechdel’s vehicle when she left the parking lot, police said.
Both vehicles suffered minor damage and Lachat was issued a citation for vehicle entering or crossing roadways, police said.
Two charged in DUI crash
LOCK HAVEN — Two people face charges in relation to a DUI crash that occurred along Bellefonte Avenue on Feb. 5 at 2:08 p.m., Lock Haven City police said.
Kendra Bendik, no address listed, is charged with allegedly driving under the influence and Tyler Bennett, no address listed, is charged with giving false reports to officers about the accident, police said.
