Man allegedly hits wife

JERSEY SHORE — Alan Herold, 57, of 399 Herold Road, Jersey Shore, has been charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment for allegedly striking Jean Herold during a disturbance at the couple’s home in Watson Township on Jan. 21, according to state police at Montoursville.

Police said he was released on $25,000 bail.

Driver charged with hit and run

JERSEY SHORE — Isaiah Leone, 20, of 343 Thompson St., Jersey Shore, was charged with hit and run, according to Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police.

Police said Leone was involved in an accident causing damage to property and left the scene of the crash. Leone’s vehicle struck a snowplow in the 200 block of Nichols Run Road in Porter Township on Jan. 13, police said.

He was sent a summons to appear before a district judge.

Four face DUI charges

JERSEY SHORE — Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police have accused four motorists of driving under the influence.

r Dustin Laubach, 36, of 368 Thompson St., Jersey Shore, was stopped in the 300 block of South Broad Street on Jan. 6, according to police. He was sent a summons to appear before a district judge.

r Grant Long, 35, of 410 S. Broad St., Jersey Shore, was stopped by police in the 200 block of South Broad Street on Dec. 22. Long was released on $1,500 bail.

r Kadeem Holmes, 26, of 355 Main St., Salladasburg, was stopped on Route 287 in Piatt Township on Dec. 9. He was also charged with careless driving. Holmes was released on $1,500 bail.

r Sabina Collins, 58, of 528 Meadow Alley, Jersey Shore, was charged following a crash in the 900 block of Allegheny Street on Oct. 3. She was also charged with careless driving. Collins was released on $1,500 bail.

Unsworn falsification

JERSEY SHORE — Jeffrey Saar, 21, of 407 Wilson St., Jersey Shore, was charged by Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police with unsworn falsification after he attempted to purchase a firearm using false information on a form he was required to fill out when attempting to purchase a firearm at National Sporting Goods, 1241 Allegheny Street, Jersey Shore, on Nov. 19.

He was released on $1,500 bail.

Theft of fundraiser money

JERSEY SHORE — Tiffany Toner, 36, of 400 S. Broad St., Jersey Shore, was charged by Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police with four counts of theft by deception for allegedly taking money from four parents during a school fundraiser.

Police said Toner took $129 from the four parents for candy they were purchasing from her in October, but failed to give them what they paid for.

She was released on $1,500 bail.

Counterfeit bill passed

LOCK HAVEN –City police are investigating the passing of a counterfeit $20 at a local business in the 10 block of East Main Street on Feb. 12.

Clean snow from cars

LAMAR — State police at Lamar are reminding motorists to clean the snow and ice off their vehicles.

Numerous calls have been received at the barracks regarding ice and snow fling off vehicles and damaging other vehicles on the roadway, police said.
