Shank found at SCI Rockview

BELLEFONTE — A 33-year-old inmate at SCI Rockview, 1 Rockview Place, Benner Township, was charged with possession of weapon all other offenses after a shank was found in the prison on Jan. 19, state police at Rockview said.

Vehicle strikes sign, snow bank

ELIMSPORT — A Lock Haven woman was not injured after her 2013 Mazda 2 struck a snowbank and stop sign along Route 54, Clinton Township, Lycoming County, state police at Montoursville said.

Nicole L. Phillips, 27, was traveling east on the roadway when a vehicle in front of her slowed down to make a left turn, police said.

Phillips attempted to stop but skidded and slid into the sign and the snow bank, police said.

Phillips was cited for not driving on roadways laned for traffic, police said.

Theft of cellular services

COUDERSPORT PIKE — A 14-year-old Renovo boy is accused of stealing a Samsung Galaxy J3 phone, valued at $168, from an 83-year-old Lock Haven woman in Cummings Township, Lycoming County, state police at Rockview said.

The suspect made $299.87 worth of purchases using the device, police said.

The investigation is on-going, police said.
