Man threatened with knife, pepper sprayed

JERSEY SHORE — Michele A. Phillips, 59, no address listed, was arrested and charged with terroristic threats after an incident that occurred on March 7 along West Route 973, Jersey Shore, state police at Montoursville said.

Phillips is accused of threatening a 50-year-old Jersey Shore man with a knife and spraying him in the face with pepper spray, police said.

Phillips was placed in Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $15,000 bail, police said.

Two vehicle crash

BELLEFONTE — The driver of a 2000 Ford Explorer was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center by Bellefonte EMS for suspected minor injuries following a two vehicle crash along Benner Pike, Benner Township, Centre County, state police at Rockview said.

Mason R. Finocchio, 18, of Howard, was attempting to leave a parking lot by making a left turn onto Benner Pike, police said.

Finocchio failed to see a 2019 Chevrolet Sonic, driven by Denise L. Lloyd, 60, of Duncanville, Pa., police said.

Lloyd, who was unable to avoid the Finocchio, struck his vehicle in the turning lane, police said.

Finocchio was issued a citation for vehicle entering or crossing roadway, police said.

Phone scam

HOWARD — John Thompson, 46, of Howard, reported two cellphones being opened in his name through Verizon Wireless, state police at Rockview said.

The incident occurred between Nov. 1, 2018 and March 5 in Boggs Township, Centre County, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
