Minor damage in

one-vehicle crash

CENTRE HALL — A crash occurred at approximately 5 p.m. on March 3, after an unnamed driver was traveling on Route 144 and struck the guiderails on the right side of the road, according to state police at Rockview.

The vehicle had damage to the front right bumper, no guide rail damage was observed, and the vehicle was able to be driven from the scene, police said.

Driver strikes utility pole

PLEASANT GAP — A crash occurred at approximately 5 p.m. on March 1, after an unnamed driver was traveling on East College Avenue just north of Gilltown Road, Spring Township, Centre County, state police at Rockview said. The driver lost control when the rear wheels slid sideways causing the vehicle to spin clockwise, sliding across the north lane and striking a utility pole on the left side of the roadway, police said. The vehicle had minor front end damage, and the driver was wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured. He was charged with not driving on roadways laned for traffic, police said.
