Biker seriously injured in crash

BELLEFONTE — Dennis M. Butler, 63, of Bellefonte, was flown by helicopter to Altoona Hospital after he crashed his 2016 Harley-Davidson at 6:13 p.m. on May 3 on South Eagle Valley Road, Union Township, according to state police at Rockview.

Police said the motorcycle left the roadway on the right berm for unknown reasons and traveled in the grass alongside the southbound travel lane before it overturned and slid across both lanes and struck the guide rail alongside the northbound travel lane.

Butler was flown via Lifeflight to Altoona Hospital with apparent serious injuries, police said.

Harassment alleged

BELLEFONTE — Brian Harris, 42, of Jersey Shore was charged by state police at Rockview with harassment with no legitimate purpose after he texted a a 45-year-old Bellefonte woman numerous times.

Police said the incident occurred at 1:24 a.m. on May 12 in Spring Township, Centre County.

Burglary/criminal mischief

LOCK HAVEN — Lock Haven City Police are investigating vandalism at the Fallon Hotel between April 1 and May 2.

Police said the hotel at 131 E. Water St., was broken into and vandalized during that time.
