Unknown truck causes crash

HOWARD — A car crash occurred on June 4 at 11:55 a.m. on Little Marsh Creek Road, when Alyssa Harpster, 26, of Howard, swerved off the road in her 2018 Subaru Crosstrek and hit an embankment to avoid colliding with another vehicle traveling in her lane, according to state police at Rockview.

Neither Harpster or her child, who was traveling in the backseat, were injured, police said.

The unknown vehicle was a red pickup truck, and anyone with information on the truck or the driver is asked to contact state police at Rockview at 814-355-7545.

Theft by deception

BELLEFONTE — On June 5 at 2:23 p.m., state police at Rockview received a report of a victim, Paula Sowers, 55, of Bellefonte, who said that her information was utilized to obtained credit through Synchrony Bank.

Sowers was alerted by a credit monitoring system and had the account terminated in a timely manner, police said.

Drug possession

BELLEFONTE — Daisy Gibboney, 25, of Bellefonte, was charged with possession of drugs after an investigation that occurred at Maple Drive in Benner Township on June 5 at 2:21 p.m, state police at Rockview said.

Police found that Gibboney was in possession of a syringe and plastic cap with residue from a suboxone medication.
