Bicyclist hit by vehicle

CAMMAL — A crash occurred on June 6 as George Maruhnich, 53, of Lock Haven, was traveling on Route 414 at its intersection with Callahan Run Road, McHenry Township, Lycoming County, according to police at Montoursville.

Maruhnich was attempting to pass a bicyclist, Carol Walter, 61, of Shamokin, and she was struck by the vehicle causing her to fall off of the bike, police said. Maruhnich was not injured, and Walter was suspected to have minor injuries but refused transport, police said.

Saturation detail

PENNS VALLEY — On June 11, Pennsylvania state police conducted a saturation detail in the Penns Valley area of Centre County resulting in six Act 64 arrests, 1 DUI, 6 warrants served, 5 citations, and 10 warnings. Methamphetamine, synthetic marijuana, pills, and marijuana were seized, police said.
