Pedestrian struck by vehicle

LINDEN — A Muncy man suffered suspected serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle while removing a tree limb from Pine Run Road, Woodward Township, Lycoming County on May 29 at approximately 5:18 a.m., state police at Montoursville said.

Steven Baker, 63, of Muncy, parked his 2013 Chrysler 200 in the middle of the roadway, leaving his driver door open while he attempted to move the tree branch from the road, police said.

Baker was struck by a 2000 Dodge Durango, driven by Steven Demarco, 24, of Jersey Shore, while he stood on the shoulder of the roadway, police said.

Demarco left his vehicle and stayed with Baker while waiting for Jersey Shore EMS to arrive on scene, police said.

Baker was transported to UPMC Williamsport, police said.

No charges were filed after the accident, police said.

Motorcycle involved in crash

MILESBURG — The driver of a motorcycle and its passengers were seriously injured after a two vehicle accident on the 300 Block of Turnpike Street, Milesburg, on June 14, state police at Rockview said.

The driver of the motorcycle, name not listed, was traveling south on the roadway at 8:40 p.m. with two passengers, names not listed, when they struck another vehicle on the roadway, police said.

The driver of the vehicle involve, name not listed, was evaluated at the scene and refused further treatment, police said.

The crash is still under investigation, police said.

Vehicle strikes fence

WATERVILLE — The driver of a 2014 Subaru Impreza was cited for accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle or property after striking a fence along Route 44, Cummings Township on June 9, state police at Montoursville said.

Bradley K. Shearer, 26, of North Bend, was traveling north on the roadway when his vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck the fence, police said.

After hitting the fence, Shearer backed onto the roadway and fled the scene, police said.

One vehicle accident

BELLEFONTE — The driver of a 1998 Ford Ranger was transported to Mt. Nittany Medical Center for suspected injuries after a one vehicle accident along Paradise Road on June 13 at 11:16 a.m., state police at Rockview said.

The driver, a 16-year-old Bellefonte man, was traveling north on the roadway when he failed to negotiate a right curve, traveling off the roadway and striking a traffic sign, police said.

The vehicle then traveling across the roadway into a ditch before striking a tree, police said.

The driver was transported to a hospital by Pleasant Gap Fire Company and charged with not driving his vehicle at a safe speed, police said.
