Harassment

WILLIAMSPORT — Eustace Lynch, 65, of Williamsport, was charged with harassment after physically touching a 22-year-old female, of State College, without permission near River Avenue in Loyalsock Township on June 27 between 2:58 p.m. and 3:35 p.m., state police at Montoursville said.

Lynch touched the victim on her right shoulder area and right thigh without permission and then he fled the scene in a gold sedan in a southeast direction, police said.

DUI crash

WILLIAMSPORT — State police at Montoursville responded to a crash on June 23 at 2:36 p.m. on US-15 South in Williamsport, involving a motorcycle that lost control and tipped over both the operator and passenger.

Both occupants were transported to UPMC Williamsport with injuries. Alcohol is the suspected cause of the crash, police said.

Drivers injured in

two-vehicle crash

MILLHEIM — Two drivers were injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 6:04 a.m. on June 27 at the intersection of Main Street and Plum Alley in Millheim borough, according to state police at Rockview.

Franklin T. Swartz, 55, of Madisonburg, was traveling east on State Route 45 in his 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 as Joseph Steffen, of Millheim, was entering State Route 45 from Plum Street and failed to yield the right-of-way to Swartz. Swartz was unable to slow down enough to avoid a collision with Steffen, who was driving a 2002 Subaru Legacy, police said.

Both sustained injuries of unknown severity and were transported by Penns Valley EMS to Mount Nittany Medical Center, police said.

Swartz was charged with entering or crossing a roadway, according to police.

Criminal mischief

CENTRE HALL — State police at Rockview investigated an incident of criminal mischief on June 17 at 1:53 p.m. at Pennsylvania Avenue, after Diann Devinney, 60, of Centre Hall, reported that her Kenmore dryer inside the residence caused damages estimated at $50.00.

This investigation is ongoing, police said.

Two-vehicle crash

MILESBURG — Carolynn A. Young, 19, of Port Matilda, was cited by state police at Rockview after not stopping at a stop sign in her 2014 Chevrolet Cruze, when proceeding from Water Street onto Mill Street and causing a collision on June 25 at 2:12 p.m.

Young’s vehicle was struck by Larry R. Quay, 45, of Bellefonte, who was traveling north on Mill Street in his 2001 Chevrolet S10, police said.

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash and Rich’s Amoco Towing assisted on scene, police said.

Driver strikes multiple signs

CENTRE HALL — Carol A. Butterworth, 68, of State College, was charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic after a crash that occurred on June 26 at 2:30 p.m., according to state police at Rockview.

Butterworth was traveling north on State Route 144 in her 2016 Toyota Corolla when her car left the right lane of travel and proceeded to strike a wooden sign, a road sign, a utility pole, a wooden fence, and a tree, before coming to final rest under The Express Casual Dining Train, police said.

Butterworth refused any medical treatment and Centre Hall Fire Department, Centre Life Link EMS and Extreme Auto Service assisted on scene, police said.

Various drugs found in vehicle

MILESBURG — On June 26 at 1:23 a.m., members of state police Criminal Patrol Team and K-9 members stopped a vehicle on I-80 in Boggs Township that was traveling from Rhode Island to Michigan.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 11.5 grams of Psilocybin mushrooms, 3.6 grams of Ketamine, 3 grams of raw MDMA, 35 doses of LSD, ecstasy, marijuana and related paraphernalia, police said.

The occupants were taken into custody for PWID, police said.
