Police News – Sept. 10
LOCK HAVEN — David Wadsworth, 20, was charged with underage drinking, public drunkenness and criminal mischief at 2:35 a.m. Sept. 8, by Lock Haven City Police.
Police said the suspect is accused of breaking a glass door at 545 W. Main St., and also for consuming alcohol while underage and public drunkenness.
He also broken a glass door, police said.
Theft from vehicle
LOCK HAVEN — City police are investigating a report of the theft of a phone valued at $50 from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 10 block of West Main Street between 6 and 6:30 a.m. on Sept. 6.
SPRING MILLS — State police at Rockview are investigated a home burglary reported by a Spring Mills female on West Sand Mountain Road, Potter Township.
Police said the incident, which occurred between Sept. 4 and Sept. 5, resulted in damage to the structure, which was forcibly entered.
Accused of DUI
BELLEFONTE — Emily Clark, 29, of Linden, is accused of driving under the influence following a crash on Runville Road at Stauffer Road in Boggs Township, Centre County, at 4:42 p.m. on August 5.
State police at Rockview said Clark swerved her vehicle in the roadway and crashed into a guide rail. She was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center where a legal blood draw was performed.
Charges are pending results of the blood tests, police said.
BELLEFONTE — Matthew Williamson, 27, of Bellefonte, has been charged with harassment following an incident on Sept. 7 on Runville Road, Boggs Township, Centre County.
State police at Rockview said the incident occurred as Williamson was passed on Route 150 by the victim, a 33-year-old Bellefonte woman. Williamson continued to follow the victim to Sheetz and parked his motorcycle directly behind the victim’s vehicle at the gas pumps.
The victim exited the parking lot and Williamson followed her on Runville Road, parking his motorcycle on the white line at the residence where the victim parked her vehicle, police said.
Williamson is being charged with harassment through District Court 49-3-02.
LOCK HAVEN — City police investigated a two-vehicle accident with possible injuries on Bellefonte Avenue at Spring Street at 11:09 a.m. on Sept. 6.
Drivers were Eugene Allen Bennett, 62, of Mill Hall, and Korrina Marie Orwig, 39, of Lock Haven.
Police said Bennett slowed his vehicle behind a slow- moving vehicle on Bellefonte Avenue and was rear-ended by Orwig, who said she did not have time to stop. Police said Orwig will be charged with following too closely.
Bennett was checker out by EMS and refused medical treatment, police said.
Both vehicles were driven from the scene of the accident.
Hit and run
LOCK HAVEN — City police investigated a hit and run accident at 11:16 a.m. on Sept. 4 at 31 N. Jones St.
Wanda Lapp told police she parked her car on North Jones Street at 7 a.m. that day and it was fine. At about 10:52 a.m., Lapp told police she noticed damage to the front bumper of the car.
Police said it appears that a vehicle with a ball hitch backed up into the vehicle and damaged the bumper and then drove away.
