Susque-View plans Inpatient Short Term Rehabilitation Unit
LOCK HAVEN — Susque-View Home Nursing and Rehabilitation Center located on 22 Cree Drive in Lock Haven is well known for its beautiful facility with lush gardens both indoors and outdoors, and for its quality nursing care and strong, successful rehab programs.
As with everything, changes and adjustments sometimes need to happen in order to continue to grow and to succeed and to meet the needs of those that we are caring for. Susque-View has been listening to its clients and their needs and desires when inpatient short term therapy is necessary.
And this year, the county-owned nursing home is focusing on the addition of a brand new, state of the art Inpatient Short Term Rehabilitation Unit on the campus of Susque-View Home.
Plans include the complete renovation of what was formerly our Independent Living Unit –Whitetail Terrace — located at 20 Cree Drive, which adjoins the second floor of the facility. This secure unit will house 12 private rooms with their own private bathroom facilities, an independent and separate gym area shared by only those staying in the short term unit, a newly renovated living/dining area, free Wi-Fi, a covered wrap around porch and portico and much more.
Our rehab team offers individualized therapy programs designed for your specific needs and expected outcomes and will work with you to obtain those goals. Our rehab team also offers a home health component that can offer you a continuum of care upon your discharge to your home, providing nursing, physical, occupational and speech therapy services to ensure a safe discharge plan for those choosing the services available.
