UPMC — Bringing life-changing medicine to Northcentral Pennsylvania
WILLIAMSPORT– The only constant in health care is change, and 2018 was a year of immense progress for UPMC Susquehanna.
With six hospitals in northcentral Pennsylvania, UPMC Susquehanna was proud to be named one of the nation’s 15 Top Health Systems by IBM Watson Health.
This study spotlights the best-performing health systems in the U.S., based on a balanced scorecard of measures derived from publicly available clinical, operational, and patient satisfaction data.
UPMC Susquehanna celebrated its two-year anniversary with UPMC in October 2018 by announcing two major renovation and expansion projects.
Additionally, the health system expanded its footprint by opening new outpatient facilities throughout the region, welcomed more than 300 new physicians and providers since becoming part of UPMC, and added UPMC Cole in Coudersport to UPMC’s growing network.
Bringing World-Class Cancer Treatment
to the Region
Through a $13 million investment, construction will soon begin on the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Williamsport creating a new patient-centric footprint, with physician exam rooms, open chemotherapy bays, private chemotherapy rooms, and additional office and support space designed to help improve the patient experience.
