Missionaries to Navajo Nation to speak

MARSH CREEK — Serving the people of the Navajo Nation for 40 years, Ben and Eunice Stoner with Brethren in Christ World Missions will speak at Marsh Creek Brethren in Christ Church on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 6:30 p.m.

Light refreshments will follow the presentation which features cultural insights and a question-and-answer session.

Sportsmen’s Banquet date announced

FLEMINGTON — This year’s Sportsmen’s Banquet at Flemington First Church of Christ will be held Friday, March 3, with doors opening at 5:45 p.m., dinner from 6 to 7 p.m., and a speaker at 7:45 p.m.

The speaker will be Abner Druckenmiller from Fox Pro-Sport who will give a talk on predators.

The evening also will include basket raffles and other items to be chanced off.

St. Mark UCC to join ‘Souper Bowl’

SNYDERTOWN — St. Mark United Church of Christ on Snydertown Road will participate in “Souper Bowl Sunday” on Feb. 5.

Everyone attending is asked to bring a non-perishable food item to church that day to be given to the local food pantry. Also, soup pots will be passed around for a special second offering to help the hungry around the world.

Everyone is invited to a feast of chili, corn bread, soups and desserts following worship. Those planning to come are asked to sign up ahead of time.

BEU Presbyterian to take in new members

MILL HALL — Tomorrow is New Member Sunday at Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, and the church plans to take in four new members.

A “Happy Birthday Party” will immediately follow the service with food and fun, celebrating “everyone who is having a birthday in 2017.”

Mackeyville to host Clintondale Sunday

MACKEYVILLE — The Clintondale and Mackeyville United Methodist chruches will come together for a combined worship service Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at the Mackevyille church. A covered-dish luncheon will follow the service.
