Kid Notes sing in nursing homes

PHOTO PROVIDED

It’s National Nursing Home Week, and First Church of Christ joined the celebration. Tuesday evening the children’s choir hit the road and performed at Susque-View and at Haven Skilled Rehab and Nursing Facility. The Kid Notes children’s choir is wrapping up its third season of singing, under the direction of Elaine Barth. Helping hands for the Kid Notes include Bonnie Bechdel. Sweet treats were provided by “Me-Me,” Linda Forster. The children sang some of their fun and silly warm-up songs like “B-I-N-G-O” and “Dr. Knickerbocker” and went on to include their church songs “Hallelu, Hallelu” and “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands.” Their director said the children enjoyed their visit to the local nursing homes and loved seeing and hearing the residents join in as they performed.
