Trinity Christmas Program is Sunday

MACKEYVILLE — The Trinity Christmas Program will be presented at 7 p.m. Sunday at Mackeyville United Methodist Church, 23 Fairground Road. This popular and well-loved annual program featuring Trinity praise group includes several musical numbers, skits and always a few surprises.

Refreshments will be served following the program.

St. John youth offer Parents’ Night Out

JERSEY SHORE — The youth group of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 229 S. Broad St., will host its annual Parents’ Night Out next Saturday, allowing parents to do their Christmas shopping without little ones tagging along. Supper and child care will be provided from 5 to 9 p.m.

Tomorrow the church will hold a song service at 10:30 a.m., and a sweet bun will be shared in place of Communion, recalling the traditional Lovefeast. This will be the only service that morning.

The annual children’s Christmas program will be held during worship at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 17. The Christmas dinner will follow. Bring your plate and silverware and a dish to share.

Great Days of Music ahead

LOCK HAVEN –The Great Day of Children’s Christmas Music at First Church of Christ will be this Sunday. The Kid Notes will sing and the Sunday School children will present Christmas readings.

Also this Sunday, the congregation will go Christmas caroling to shut-ins at 2 p.m. and have a Christmas dinner in the fellowship hall at 4 p.m.

The Great Day of Christmas Music is Sunday, Dec. 17, and this special service will include several Christmas songs sung by members and friends of the church.

Avis UM Christmas

concert set

AVIS — A Christmas concert is planned at Avis United Methodist Church on Sunday, Dec. 17 during the worship service, at 10:15 a.m. Light refreshments will follow. The public is invited to come and hear the sounds of the Christmas season.

Sunday is big at Blanchard Church

BLANCHARD — The children of The Joyful Notes at Blanchard Church of Christ will present their musical Christmas program Sunday during the second worship service, at 11 a.m. The Wee Ones will give their speeches in the sanctuary at 10 a.m., during the Sunday school hour. An all-church Christmas dinner and party is planned at 5 p.m.

The youth plan to go caroling Wednesday after the food pantry ministry, take trip to Fly World and Panera on Thursday, and hold their Christmas party Dec. 20 from 6 to 9 p.m.

St. Mark Lutheran

to gather

SNYDERTOWN — St. Mark Lutheran Church plans a board game night at 7 p.m. tonight. Bring a favorite game and favorite snacks.

The annual congregational meeting will follow the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday, Dec. 17.

United Lutheran kids to present play

LOCK HAVEN — The United Evangelical Lutheran Church Sunday School will present a Christmas play Sunday, Dec. 17 during the service, at 9 a.m.

St. John’s UCC plans Christmas fun

TYLERSVILLE — The annual Christmas gathering at St. John’s United Church of Christ will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday with a potluck dinner and a gift swap. Bring a plate of cookies to share over coffee or hot chocolate while the gift exchange takes place.
