Church offers Valentine’s service
MILL HALL — Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church offers a Valentine’s service Sunday at 10:30 a.m., with a special message of the Biblical love story that most people just pass over… love for God.
Everyone will receive a gift, appropriate for the season. Coffee and sweets are served in the kitchen prior to the service.
The building has a parking lot in back and is handicap accessible.
Avis UM to build ‘Wailing Walls’
AVIS — Avis United Methodist Church will offer its own version of the famous Wailing Wall in Jerusalem.
Lego builders are invited to bring their Legos and make one or more walls next Saturday at 1 p.m. in the lobby of the church. If the date does not suit, a builder may make a wall at home and bring it to the church later.
The walls will remain at the church during the Lenten season. Everyone who enters the sanctuary will have the chance to write prayers on colorful pieces of paper and place them in the Wailing Walls.
On Easter morning, the written prayers will be transformed into something beautiful.
Builders may retrieve their Legos on Easter at the 10:15 a.m. service.
BLANCHARD — A Valentine’s breakfast is offered Sunday at 9:45 a.m. at Blanchard Church of Christ, between the first service and Sunday school. The menu includes egg casseroles, French toast casseroles, donuts and juices. To help or donate, contact Cathy Redmond.
