Mt. Pleasant to host ‘Messiah in the Passover’

LOGANTON — Israel Cohen, a representative of Chosen People Ministries, will speak at Mount Pleasant Bible Church, at 7 p.m. Monday, March 19.

He will present the program “Messiah in the Passover.”

Chosen People Ministries is more than 100 years old. The mission was founded in 1894 by Leopold Cohn, a Hungarian rabbi who came to believe that Jesus was the Messiah of Israel. From humble beginnings in Brooklyn, it has grown into a worldwide ministry with outreach centers in Argentina, Australia, Canada, England, France, Germany, Israel, Mexico, Ukraine and the United States.

In stressing the Jewish roots of Christian faith, Chosen People Ministries hopes to make the message of the Messiah more accessible to Jewish people and also help Christian believers achieve a greater appreciation of the Jewish basis of their own faith traditions.

The Christian and Jewish community is invited to attend the program at the church at 4561 Long Run Road. A love offering will be received. For more information, call 570-725-2009.
