Stabler’s Grove Camp

Meeting starts Sunday

SALLADASBURG — The 83rd Stabler’s Grove Camp Meeting will be held July 22 to 29 from 7 to 9 p.m. each evening with evangelist Steve Housewright. A canned and dry food collection for the hungry will be taken each night.

Music will be provided by Winnie Schweikart on Sunday, Carl and Opal Schlappi on Monday, Ron Guinter on Tuesday, Amy Peck on Wednesday, Harlan and Pat Bower on Thursday, Bobbi Grieco and Dave Ward on Friday, CrossFyre on Saturday and Cheryl Frymire on Sunday, July 29.

Children’s night is Monday with a children’s song, gift and snack. Youth night is Saturday with a hot dog roast (food and drink provided).

Stabler’s Grove is at 535 Picnic Woods Road, Jersey Shore. The camp meeting is an ecumenical ministry sponsored by the Sunday School Association of Lycoming County, District 11.

Flemington church

to worship at fair

MACKEYVILLE — The morning worship service Sunday, July 29 for Flemington First Church of Christ will be held at the opening of the Clinton County Fair on the fairgrounds here, at 9 a.m.

Church to hear of daycare plans

BLANCHARD — A Blanchard Church of Christ board meeting will be held in the sanctuary at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, regarding plans to expand the church daycare, In God’s Hands. The day care plans to fund a $315,000 expansion of 4,100 square feet. Church members will be able to vote about the expansion on Sunday.

Also tomorrow, children who participated in Little K Camp and King’s Kids Camp will lead worship in both services.

St. John’s UCC sets chicken dinner

TYLERSVILLE — The annual chicken barbecue dinner for St. John’s United Church of Christ will be held Sunday at 5 p.m. The church will provide grilled chicken. Bring a potluck dish to share and your own place settings.

St. James to host Lutheran picnic

RAUCHTOWN — St. James Lutheran will host the other three area Lutheran congregations: — St. John, Garman, and Grace — for a joint picnic Sunday in the pavilion. Bring a covered dish to share and a lawn chair. Meat and drinks will be provided.
