Area churches invite all children of the community to enjoy Vacation Bible School this summer. Opportunities include the following.


r Avis United Methodist, 215 Prospect Ave. — “Maker Fun Factory: Created by God, Built for a Purpose” for 3-year-olds through sixth graders, 6-8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, July 23-27, with the closing ceremony Sunday, July 29 during the regular 10:15 a.m. worship service. Each family that registers will receive a Maker Fun Factory VBS CD. r Oval United Methodist Church, 6796 State Route 44 Hwy., Jersey Shore — “Jonah’s Whale of a Time” for 4-year-olds through eighth graders, 6-8 p.m. July 29-Aug. 2. For more information or to register, call 570-745-3197.


r Lock Haven Bible Mission Church, 649 East Church Street, — “The Hedge of Thorns” for ages 4-12, Monday through Friday from 6-8 p.m. The week will end Friday with Family Fun Night when the children may bring their families to enjoy food and fellowship. r Mt. Pleasant Bible Church, 4561 Long Run Road, Loganton — “Come One, Come All, See the Mighty Power of God” for 4-year-olds through teens, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, with a Bible lesson, games, crafts and refreshments each evening. Wednesday night is family night with parents invited to the closing program and hot dogs and ice cream included. The church is 2.5 miles north of Loganton on Route 477. r Blanchard Church of Christ — “Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus” King’s Kids Camp for children entering second through sixth grades, Monday through Friday, with Bible learning activities, songs, teamwork-building games, treats and more. A $15 fee is charged.


r Curtin United Methodist, 305 Curtin Village Road, Howard — “Serve — Being God’s Hands and Feet,” 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, July 15-19. The Sunday session starts at 6 p.m. Thursday’s session will be the closing program and family picnic. The church is three miles north of Milesburg, near historic Curtin Village.

r Blanchard Church of Christ — “Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus” Lil’ K Camp for 4-year-olds through fourth graders, July 16-18, with Bible learning activities, songs, teamwork-building games, treats and more. A $10 fee is charged.

r Charlton Chapel, 46 Church Hill Road, Lock Haven — One-day Vacation Bible School “Country Junction: How Ya Gonna Keep ’em Down on the Farm,” 1-4 p.m. Saturday, July 28, with peanut-free, nut-free snacks. To pre-register, call 570-769-6520 or email and advise if any other food allergies. Walk-ins are also welcome. The church is between Woolrich Crossroads and Avis, near Kliney’s Furniture.

r Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Mill Hall — Vacation Bible School 6-8 p.m. Aug. 5-9.
