Living Faith offers

family fun series

MILL HALL — Living Faith Ministries invites families to “Babylon: Daniel’s Courage In Captivity,” offered over eight Sundays, Sept. 9 through Oct. 28.

“Babylon” is based on a Vacation Bible School.

Families will step back in time at Babylon, exploring Daniel’s adventures as a captive in a foreign land. Kids and adults participate in a memorable Bible-times marketplace, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, dig into Bible-times snacks, visit Daniel, and collect Bible Memory Makers to remind them of God’s Word. All participants should learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called “God Sightings.” Each day concludes at “Celebration,” a time of upbeat worship that gets everyone involved.

Kids and adults in “Babylon” will join more than a million participants reaching out to needy kids through a hands-on mission project called Operation Kid-to-Kid, in which families will raise money to feed families in Haiti.

Babylon will run from 10:45 a.m. to noon each Sunday at the church, which is at 7175 Nittany Valley Drive (Route 64).

For more information, call Gail at 570-295-4495.

LOCK HAVEN — River of Life Fellowship announces a coat and winter wear give-away on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 8 a.m. to noon at the church at 507 E. Main St. (the former East Main Street United Methodist).

Also at the church, today is the last day of a “free yard sale” being held rain or shine from 8 a.m. to noon.

Pastor Janis Heiser said the building, which the church moved into in June, holds opportunity for future outreaches, expansion and growth. “We are so blessed it be here,” she said.

River of Life has Sunday worship at 10 a.m. and Bible study Tuesdays at 7 p.m. For further information, call Pastor Heiser at 570-660-6008.
