Trinity UM offers

monthly Game Day

JERSEY SHORE — Games Days will return to Trinity United Methodist Church, the first Sunday of the month.

The first fall session of fun and food for all ages is planned for 11:20 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7. Bring a snack or covered dish to share.

Spaghetti dinner at

Mill Hall Fire Co.

MILL HALL – The Lamar Lighthouse Tabernacle will be hosting a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Mill Hall Fire Hall to benefit the rebuilding of the tabernacle.

Tickets cost $8 for adults and $4 for kids 5 to 12 years old and will be sold before and after Watoto Choir concert at the Blanchard Church of Christ, sponsored by the Lamar Lighthouse Camp.

MACKEYVILLE — All are invited to the Mackeyville United Methodist Church on Fairground Road this Sunday, Sept. 30 at 9 a.m. for their fifth Sunday Church Service followed by a fellowship breakfast.

MILL HALL — Living Faith Ministries, 7175 Nittany Valley Dr., Mill Hall, on Saturday, Oct. 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. There will be children’s games, food, pumpkin chunk’n, a maze, hay rides, puppets shows, and pie eating contests for adults and children!

Gospel meeting

at Church of Christ

FLEMINGTON — Wright Street Church of Christ will host a series of gospel meetings with guest speaker Shawn Willis of Pontiac, Mich. Services will be held nightly at 7 p.m. from Wednesday, Oct. 3 to 6, with Sunday services on Oct. 7 at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Social activities during this gospel meeting include an Amish breakfast on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 8 a.m. and a luncheon on Sunday between services. Summit Hill Wesleyan

HOWARD — Everyone is welcome to join members of Summit Hill Wesleyan Church, 1725 Summit Hill Rd., Howard, from Oct. 7 to 10. There will be special music during each service which will begin at 7 p.m. each evening. Sunday School will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by Sunday worship at 10:30 a.m. and a Sunday night worship at 6:30 p.m.

HOWARD — Howard Christian Church will be holding a pancake breakfast on Sunday, Sept. 30 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Freewill donations for the meal will support missionaries Tim and Tammy Aho, and Tim will speak at the 10 a.m. service.

Church Harvest Day

MARSH CREEK — Pleasant Valley Church in Marsh Creek will have their annual Harvest Day on Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Marsh Creek Brotherhood Park. The event runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Jacksonville Emmanual UCC to hold fall soup and bakesale

HOWARD — The Jacksonville Emmanual United Church of Christ will offer a fall soup and bake sale on Saturday, Oct. 6. There will be chili and homemade soups, hotdogs with Texas sauce and pulled pork sandwiches available to eat in or take-out. There will be lots of baked goods too and live autumn wreaths will also be sold. The event runs from 10 a.m. until 12 noon.

Covenant UM to sell soup

LOCK HAVEN — The Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., is going to have a monthly soup sale starting Oct 6. Take out orders only. Orders must be called into the church at 570-748-6481, between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m., by Oct 1. Pick-up will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct 6. This month’s soup will be Ham and Bean at $5 per quart.

Lamar Methodist Church

LAMAR — The Lamar Methodist Church is holding a hoagie sale on Thursday, Oct. 25. Hoagies can be picked up at the church from 4 to 5 p.m. with orders due by Oct. 8. To order call 570-748-6694.
