Christmas Concert

at Summit Hill

HOWARD — Dave Boonie will be performing a Christmas concert on Dec. 2 at 6:30 p.m. at Summit Hill Wesleyan Church, Howard.

Dave’s God-given talent with the auto harp has blessed many lives and in his Christmas Concert you will experience the songs of Christmas in a wonderful powerful way.

Be sure to bring the kids. Don’t miss this special time of preparing our hearts for the Christmas celebration.

LOCK HAVEN — The annual Christmas Concert and Carol Sing will be Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. at St Paul’s Episcopal Church on Main Street in Lock Haven.

There will be a brass choir directed by Dave Sorgen, a bell choir from Great Island Presbyterian Church, vocal solos by Elaine Barth, Beth Young, Doug Madenford, Cole Black, harp solo by Jaime Costillo and many other special numbers by the choir.

Pat Helbly is the accompanist and Kim Feerrar is the choir director. The prelude by the brass will beginat 6:45 p.m.

The concert will be about one hour and open to the public at no charge. Light refreshments will be served at the end of the concert.

Trinity Christmas

Program at Mackeyville UM

MACKEYVILLE — The Mackeyville United Methodist Church, 23 Fairground Rd., will present their popular Trinity Christmas Program on Sunday, Dec. 9 at a new time of 6 p.m.

There will be lots of fun, music and even a surprise or two, along with their famous homemade Christmas goodies following the presentation.

Please plan to attend and bring a friend. You will not want to miss this!

Joyful Noise Christmas concert

HOWARD — Curtin United Methodist Church, 305 Curtin Village Rd., Howard, will be hosting a Joyful Noise Christmas concert on Dec. 9 at 3 p.m.

Come join members of the church as they celebrate the Christmas season.

All are welcome and refreshments will be provided after the concert.

Hanging of the

Greens at Bald Eagle UC

MILL HALL — Bald Eagle United Church, 111 Main St., will be having their hanging of the greens service on Dec. 2, the first Sunday in the Advent Season. Everyone is invited to come and join members of the church and celebrate the advent season with them. Their service is at 10:30 a.m. and the church is handicap accessible. Coffee and sweet treats are always in the kitchen before the service. Everyone is welcome, all denominations.

Bald Eagle UC to

hold prayer shawl ministry

MILL HALL — Members of Bald Eagle UC, 111 Main St., will be holding a very large prayer shawl ministry on Dec. 5 at 12 noon. They invite all knitters and crocheters to join them and welcome all skill levels. The church supplies the yarn, patterns, needles and also a lunch. The church also accepts yarn donations that may be dropped off at the church anytime.

ZION — New Hope United Methodist Church at Zion, along Rt. 64, will be holding their annual Church Bazaar today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Soup for the Month

LOCK HAVEN — Covenant United Methodist Church’s soup for December will be Loaded Baked Potato soup at $5 a quart. Take out only. Orders must be called into the church at 570-748-6481 (between 8 a.m. and 12 noon) by Dec. 7. Pick up will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 11.
