Friendship Potluck dinner

FLEMINGTON — Flemington United Methodist Church Joyful Workers invite everyone to a Friendship Potluck dinner on Sunday, Feb. 24 following worship service. Members of Mill Hall and Lamar United Methodist Churches have been invited as well.

SVC of Brethren

to host turkey supper

LOGANTON — The Sugar Valley Church of the Brethren are hosting a turkey dinner on Feb. 23 from 4 to 7 p.m.

Donations will be accepted for the dinner with all proceeds benefitting the church’s cemetery mowing fund. Dinner will feature roast turkey, filling, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, corn, cranberry sauce, rolls and homemade desserts. Take-outs will be available.

Used book and

soup sale at Avis UM

AVIS — Avis United Methodist Church, at the corner Park and Prospect streets, will be having a used book and soup sale on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Soups include homemade vegetable beef and turkey noodle. Quarts may be purchased for $5 each. They will have a lot of authors and book titles to choose from. For more information call 570-295-3220 or the office 570-753-8137.

Donut sale at Trinity UM

JERSEY SHORE — Trinity United Methodist Church, 1407 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, will be holding a fresh homemade doughnut sale on Thursday, Feb. 21.

The cost is $6 for a dozen and $3 for half a dozen. Orders can be placed by calling the church office at 570-398-2913 Monday through Friday. Please give an approximate time of pick up as well.

Walk-ins will be welcome after 7 a.m. on Feb. 21.

Howard UM to hold soup sale

HOWARD — The Howard United Methodist Church, 144 W. Main St., Howard, will host a soup sale and luncheon on Thursday, Feb. 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The cost for lunch or a quart of soup is $6. Pre-orders for the soup should be made by Sunday, Feb. 17 by calling Patti Long at 814-625-2182 or 814-625-2722. The soup comes in freezable containers.

Proceeds from the sale will support local missions. Invite a friend, come for lunch and enjoy a time of good food and fellowship while supporting a worthy cause.
