Nittany Valley UCC to change worship time

LAMAR — The Nittany Valley Charge of the United Church of Chirst will change its worship hours effective June 2 and continuig until June 2020.

The sister congregations of Mt. Bethel, near Lamar, and Salona will continue to worship together, alternating between the two buildings. They will meet June 2 at Mt. Bethel at the new worship time of 9 a.m.

Emmanuel United Church of Christ at Jacksonville will also have a new worship time of 10:30 a.m. effective June 2.

Summer Coffeehouse services

MACKEYVILLE — Mackeyville Summer Coffeehouse Services will be held again this year at the Mackeyville United Methodist Church on Saturday evenings at 7 p.m. on May 18, June 15 with a community picnic and fire ring, July 20, Aug. 17, and Sept. 14.

All are invited to the Coffeehouse Service. There will be lots of music, some contemporary and some old favorites with special appearances by local talents, and of course lots of coffee, tea and punch to enjoy with the church’s homemade goodies.

Spaghetti dinner

at Trinity UM

BELLEFONTE — Trinity United Methodist Church, 128 W. Howard St., Bellefonte, will hold a spaghetti dinner on today from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is a donation to the church. Take out will be available. For further information call 814-355-9425.

Spring festival at Phelps Chapel

AVIS — Phelps Chapel, 68 Phelps Chapel Rd., Avis, will be hosting a spring festival today starting at 11 a.m. Homemade ice cream, potato salad, baked beans, hamburg barbeque, hot dogs and desert will be available. Anyone with questions is asked to contact Ruth Lupold at 570-753-3689.

Election Day supper

at First UM

JERSEY SHORE — First United Methodist Church, 236 S. Main St., Jersey Shore will hold a Primary Election Day supper on Tuesday, May 21, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Baked steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables, rolls and butter and homemade cake will be available. Tickets are $8 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 10 and children five and under eat free. Tickets will be sold at the door and takeout meals will be available.
