Blanchard Church of Christ’s picnic

BLANCHARD — Blanchard Church of Christ will be hosting their annual all-church picnic this Sunday at the church pavilion.

Come join the circus for fun, food and games. All you need to bring is a casserole or dessert dish of your choice. Meats and beverages will be provided.

There will be waterslides, bingo and other games beginning at 3 p.m. with diner beginning at 5.

Hymn sing at Swissdale UM

SWISSDALE — The Swissdale United Methodist Church will have a hymn sing during the regular Sunday worship service on Sunday, Aug. 18 beginning at 11 a.m.

Special music will be featured as well as favorite hymns. Everyone is welcome to join.

Combined worship service

WOOLRICH — Covenant and Faith United Methodist Charge will be holding a combined worship service and picnic potluck on Sunday, Aug. 25 beginning at 10:30 a.m. in Woolrich Park between Pavilion 2 and 3.

The potluck will follow the service. Please bring a covered dish, salad or dessert to share. Hot dogs, beverages and table service will be provided.

Those wishing to attend are also asked to bring a lawn chair.

An Evening of Hope

JERSEY SHORE — Crossroads Community Church, 1454 S. State Route 44 Hwy., Jersey Shore, invites those who may be grieving the death of a spouse to join them for an “Evening of Hope and Encouragement” on Monday, Aug. 26 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The seminar is free and will help people discover: other people understand and have found ways to make it through; why it won’t always hurt so much; reasons for hope; and practical tips for coping with the death of a spouse.
