Gwen Mouliert coming

to Curtin UM

HOWARD — Gwen Mouliert will be coming to Curtin United Methodist Church to minister “Proclaiming His Word” from Sept. 20 through 22.

Mouliert is a celebrated author, evangelist, pastor and teacher who has been minstering extensively across the United States, Canada, Europe and Africa for over 30 years.

The first session will take place at 7p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20 at the church, 305 Curtin Village Rd., Howard.

The Saturday, Sept. 21 session will include a free luncheon at 10 a.m. and another at 7 p.m.

The final session will take place on Sunday, Sept. 22 session will take place at 9 a.m.

Chiz Rider to perform at Beech Creek Wesleyan

BEECH CREEK — Beech Creek Wesleyan Church, 217 Main St., Beech Creek, will be hosting Chiz Rider in concert Sunday at the 9 a.m. Worship Service. Chiz’s trumpet ministry appeals to a wide age range. Having been in ministry for over 37 years, Chiz has been blessed to have performed with many popular Christian artists. He has also performed at a Billy Graham Crusade and numerous times at the Crystal Cathedral as well as played for several Presidents. All are welcome. An offering for Chiz will be received at the concert.

Ladies Chat and Chew

LOCK HAVEN — St. Luke’s United Church of Christ, 1174 W. Fourth St., will be holding a Ladies Chat and Chew tea party today. Good food for both the body and soul will be available.

Combined worship service

WOOLRICH — Covenant and Faith United Methodist Charge will be holding a combined worship service and picnic potluck on Sunday beginning at 10:30 a.m. in Woolrich Park between Pavilion 2 and 3. The potluck will follow the service. Please bring a covered dish, salad or dessert to share. Hot dogs, beverages and table service will be provided. Those wishing to attend are also asked to bring a lawn chair.

An Evening of Hope

JERSEY SHORE — Crossroads Community Church, 1454 S. State Route 44 Hwy., Jersey Shore, invites those who may be grieving the death of a spouse to join them for an “Evening of Hope and Encouragement” on Monday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The seminar is free and those interested in attending the event can RSVP by calling 570-398-5533.

Country style dinner at Immaculate Conception

WILLIAMSPORT — The Parishoners of Immaculate Conception Parish, 5973 Jacks Hollow Rd., invite the public to their annual country style ham and turkey dinner which will take place on Monday, Sept. 2 from noon to 6 p.m. at the church. Tickets cost $9.50 for adults, $4 for children ages four to 12 and children ages three and under eat free. Take out is available after 1 p.m.

Summer Coffeehouse services

MACKEYVILLE — Mackeyville United Methodist Church Summer Coffee House services will be held on Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. in the church Social Room. Come join the hand clapping music performed by local artists, the home made goodies, the fun and fellowship along with an inspirational message.
