Body found downtown
LOCK HAVEN – Someone found the body of a person in a downtown apartment, prompting a swarm of city police and other officials to respond.
The body was found in an apartment along Corning Street, at the rear of the building housing a tax office at the five-way intersection near the war monument.
Reports indicate a person cleaning the apartment found the body about 9 a.m. or slightly after.
Police Chief Keith Kibler confirmed to The Express that a body was found, but he declined to offer any other information, including whether it was a male or female.
The Clinton County coroner was summoned.
An Express crew at the scene was kept away from the apartment entrance on Corning Street.
