Tree-trimming on Vesper, Grove streets added

LOCK HAVEN – The city is trimming street trees through Tuesday, and has announced an additional section of the city that will see trimming today.

Added to tomorrow’s schedule are trees along Vesper Street (east side) and Grove Street (west side) from Water to Bald Eagle streets. Also getting a trim Friday will be trees along East Main Street (south side) from Henderson Street to Triangle Park.

Slated for next week is East Church Street from West Main to Jay streets. The north side of the street will be done Monday, and the south side on Tuesday.

Work begins at 7 a.m. daily.

Drivers may not park in the areas scheduled to be trimmed. Parking meters are being bagged the evening before the scheduled day for trimming. Cars remaining after 7 a.m. will be ticketed and may be towed at the owners’ expense, according to the city. Temporary “no parking” restrictions will be in effect in non-metered areas as well.
