Bottorf defeats Mayes for KC school board

LOCK HAVEN – It appears Jennifer Bottorf has defeated Greg Mayes for the Region II seat on Keystone Central School Board.

The two faced off on the General Election ballot after long-time board member Tom Shafer did not seek re-election.

Unofficial results show Bottorf gaining 356 votes to Mayes’ 318 votes.

The Region II seat represents Lamar Township and Mill Hall borough.

The two precincts in those municipalities had returned unofficial results by 9:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, Region V’s Tracy Smith, who ran unopposed, totaled 580 unofficial votes in Woodward and Colebrook townships, and Lock Haven’s 1st Ward.
