Road conditions leading to accidents

Apparent icy roads are leading to traffic accidents throughout the area today.

A portion of Interstate 80/I-99 at or near the Lock Haven exit of Route 220 was closed due to a “multiple vehicle accident” some time around 9:30 a.m. or so, according to reports via the Clinton County Emergency Communications system.

Problems on Route 150 near Beech Creek also were reported, while heavy traffic was emerging on Hogan Boulevard in Bald Eagle Township.

Sleet began falling in Central Pennsylvania this morning, causing some slippery roads.

Motorists are urged to use caution and slow down.
