No public hearing expected for zoning change

LOCK HAVEN – The Clinton County Commissioners will not hold a public zoning hearing on the ordinance amendment request made by Robert C. Wise in regards to the Woolrich Lodge at 169 Brayton Lodge Lane in Gallagher Township.

Wise requested that institutional residences be a permitted use of the land currently zoned Woodland Conservation, in hopes to establish and develop the property into a drug treatment center.

Based on the recommendation of the county’s planning commission, commissioner Pete Smeltz said that he has “no desire to move a motion to conduct that hearing” Thursday morning, with commissioners Jeff Snyder and Paul Conklin sharing the same sentiment.

Wise said he would consider his options moving forward.
