Frank J. Brungard
Frank J. Brungard, 84, of Loganton went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 5, 2016, at Haven Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing, Lock Haven.
He was born March 7, 1932, in Rosecrans to the late Frank and Leona (Schwab) Brungard.
Frank was married to Janet Smith Brungard, who preceded him in death. He married his second wife Valerie (Barrett) Brungard, who survives. In March they celebrated 36 years of marriage.
Frank served in the United States Air Force from 1951 -1955. He then worked for Piper Aircraft until their departure. He was a member of Local 812 Electrical Union in Williamsport where he retired. He then went to work for Lowe’s in Mill Hall, a job he loved.
Frank was a devoted Christian who loved and lived for God. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Bible Church in Rosecrans.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Peg (Charles) Shaffer of Lock Haven and North Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Tina (Tony) DeAnda of Mannassas, Va.; a son, Frank (Crystal) Brungard of Highspire; one step-son, William (Guila) McCloskey of Loganton; a stepdaughter, Lori (Dan) Kohen of Mill Hall; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, Gene Brungard of Loganton and David Brungard of Mill Hall; two sisters, Dorothy Arnold of Camp Hill and Darlene Newberry of Woolrich; and a sister-in-law, Marguerite Brungard.
A brother Donald Brungard preceded him in death.
The funeral service will be held at 8 p.m., Friday, June 10, 2016, at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall, with Pastor Melvin Musser officiating.
Friends and relatives will be received from 5 – 8 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his name to Mt. Pleasant Bible Church.
Interment will be private at Rosecrans Cemetery.
