Maud Bridge Gramley

Maud Bridge Gramley, 93, formerly of Lusk Run Road, Mill Hall, passed away June 2, 2016, at the Jersey Shore Manor Care.

She was born March 30, 1923, in Kinghan, England, to Cornelius and Winifred Jackson Bridge.

Maud was united in marriage July 28, 1945, to William J. Gramley, Jr., who passed away April 19, 2011. She had met her husband while working as a nurse in England during World War II.

Maud was a member of the Lock Haven United Lutheran Church where she had been very active with the children’s nursery. She had also worked for the former J.J. Newberry’s in Lock Haven, and had done volunteer work at the Lock Haven Hospital and Extended Care. She was very proud to have become an American citizen and was a loving mother and grandmother.

Maud is survived by one son, James W. (Debra) Gramley of Lock Haven; two daughters, Barbara Jean (Larry) Bottorf of Mill Hall and Susan Jane (Jack)

Bottorf of Mill Hall; seven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers,

Jack, Kenneth and Jim Bridge; and one sister, Cordi Waterhouse.

Graveside memorial services will be held Monday, June 6, 2016, at 10 a.m. in the Dunnstown Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Karl Runser III.

Memorials will be accepted to the Lock Haven United Lutheran Church, 104 W. Church St. Lock Haven.
