Mary L. (Strouse) Miller
Mary Louise (Strouse) Miller passed away quietly beneath the light of the strawberry moon, Tuesday morning. She was beloved by many, and her laughter and humor will be sorely missed. She is the daughter of the late Stanley and Cecelia Strouse, and was raised on a dairy farm in Mill Hall.
She was the youngest of seven children, Gloria Collins (Camp Hill), Rosetta Rockey (Bellefonte), Jeremiah Strouse (State College), Evelyn Jean Schrack (Williamsport), James Strouse (Mill Hall) and William Michael Strouse (who preceded her in death).
She was married to her hsuband, Robert L. Miller, for nearly 43 years where together they created a foundation of love, laughter and strength for their three daughters, Jessica (Leigh) Miller, Christa (Chip) Thomas and Melissa (Noah) Match. During the past few years she was gifted with three grandchildren, Sawyer Elijah Robert Thomas, Delaney Mae Match and Katelynn Mae Thomas, all of whom she loved dearly. She was a devoted parishioner to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
After graduating from Lock Haven University in 1973 she relocated to Linglestown, Pa., with her husband. She worked for a number of years at PHEAA, and was loved by her employees for both her compassion and quirky sense of humor. She was an avid reader and people watcher, especially at the beach with her sister. She loved and cared for all the pets her children and husband adopted throughout the years. She enjoyed the thrill of roller coasters, editing grammatical errors, her sister weekends and time with her friends. Most of all, she enjoyed the company of her family, and firmly believed that love will keep everyone together. And it will.
She was laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg.
