Caleb M. Pettingill

Caleb M. Pettingill, 24, of East Main Street, Lock Haven, died at his residence.

He was born April 24, 1992, in Lock Haven, a son of Michael Pettingill of Mill Hall and Lucinda “Cindy” Shadle of Lock Haven.

Caleb worked for Nickolas Meat in Loganton and was also a self-employed carpenter.

He enjoyed skateboarding, drawing, art and spending time with his son.

Surviving are his parents; one son, Carter Mikel Pettingill of Wellsboro; one sister, Talya Pettingill of Lock Haven; one half-sister, Michala Pettingill of Mill Hall; and a half-brother, Tyler Pettingill of Mill Hall.

Also surviving are his grandmothers, Audrey Shadle and Barbara Jean Pettingill, both of Lock Haven.

Caleb had two close friends who were considered brothers, Jared Curtis and John Curtis, both of Lock Haven, also Paula and Bruce Curtis of Lock Haven who were like mom and dad. A special nephew Tanner Pettingill of Lock Haven and the mother of his son Kala Weaver of Wellsboro also survive him.

His grandfathers Rollie Shadle and Richard Pettingill, and an uncle Daniel Shadle, preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016, at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall, with Pastor Dave McElwee officiating.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Interment will be private. Contributions can be made to the Helt Funeral Chapel to assist with funeral expenses. Send condolences at
