Dolores B. Nyman
Dolores B. Nyman, 85, of Howard passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016, at Juniper Village in State College.
She was born on June 5, 1931, in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late Frank and Alice Pavlisko Brattina.
She was united in marriage to Floyd J. Nyman who preceded her in death on Oct. 7, 1993.
Dolores was employed at U.S. Steel in Pittsburgh and the Howard Nursery, and completed her working career as a supervisor at Skills of State College where she worked for many years.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Bellefonte.
In her free time, she enjoyed antiques and collectibles and was an amateur artist.
Dolores was survived by two daughters, Theresa H. (George) Mochan and Catherine A. (Tom) Coakley, both of Howard; two sons, William J. (Melinda) Nyman of Robesonia and Floyd J. “Jim” (Nancy) Nyman of Howard; and a brother, James Brattina of South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by a son, David A. Nyman.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 4 at 10 a.m. at Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main St., Howard, with Father George Jakopac as celebrant.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday, Nov. 3 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Burial will be at St. John Catholic Cemetery, Bellefonte.
