Thomas A. Leitch, Sr.

Thomas A. Leitch, Sr., age 63 of 1025 W. 4th St., Lock Haven, passed away unexpectedly at the Lock Haven Hospital Jan. 22, after being stricken at home.

He was born in Lock Haven Sept. 2, 1953, to the late Alton “Bunk”  Leitch and Thelma Hague of McElhattan. Tom was a graduate of Lock Haven High School and studied at the Williamsport Area Community College. He had worked for American Color and Chemical, Foxdale Village, Champion, the Nittany Mall, R.H. Marcon, Inc., and Blair Senior Services in Milesburg.

He enjoyed hunting, going to camp, riding his Harleys, spending time with his family and friends, visiting the Salvation Army, going on mountain rides, and playing with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Bechdel Leitch; his mother, Thelma Leitch Hague; his children, Tasha A. Leitch, Thomas A. Leitch, Jr., Tory A. Leitch (Molly) and Terry A. Leitch; and his brothers, David and Richard (Tracy) Leitch. Also surviving are grandchildren, Che’, Connor, Tristan, Dallas, Kamdin, Peyton Belle and baby girl Leitch arriving in February; a number of nieces and nephews; and his brother-in-law, Joseph A. Baney.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Alton Leitch, and his sister Twila Baney.

Funeral services for Thomas A. Leitch, Sr. will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the Lock Haven Salvation Army, 119 E. Church St., Lock Haven. Officiating will be Major Sharon Cupp. Family and friends will be received at the Salvation Army Church from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Boggs Township, Centre County.
