Arlington ‘Buck’ Walizer

Arlington “Buck” Walizer, 87, 1726 Long Run Road, Mill Hall, died Feb. 20, 2017, at Haven Skilled Rehab and Nursing Center.

Born June 22, 1929, in Salona, he was the son of the late Raymond R. and Beulah N. Burner Walizer. In 1954 he married Delphine E. Lucas who died Jan. 24, 1985.

Buck was a foreman in the boiler room at the International Paper Co. plant in Lock Haven. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict serving in Co. H, 172nd Inf. Div. Buck was a long-time Lamar Township supervisor; a member of the Salona Lutheran Church; the Clinton County Fair Association; Lafayette Lodge 199, F & AM, Lock Haven; Williamsport Consistory; Jaffa Shrine; and American Legion Post 131, Lock Haven.

Survivors include two sons, Gregory R. (Carol) Walizer of Mill Hall and James C. (Deborah) Walizer of Antioch, Il.; four granddaughters, Beth (Brock) Lehman, Christy (Ryan) Kellogg and Angela and Alisa Walizer; and three great-grandchildren, Addison Lehman and Elliot and Willow Kellogg.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn M. Prough, and one brother, Raymond R. Walizer, Jr.

A graveside memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall, Pa.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Clinton County SPCA through the funeral home.
