Carol A. Englert

Carol A. Englert, 73, of 567 S. Fairview St., Lock Haven died Monday, Feb.13, 2017, at the Lock Haven Hospital.

She was born Nov. 3, 1943, in Lock Haven, the daughter of the late William V. and Marie E. Lewis Raymond.

On April 15, 1978, in Lock Haven, she married William R. Englert who died April 1, 1994.

Carol was employed by Hammermill Paper Company. Carol loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and dedicated her life to making sure they were always cared for and loved.

She is survived by a daughter, Carol Marie Charles (Devon) of Lock Haven; three sons, Eugene W. Snyder (Corina), Carl A. Snyder (Cheryl) and Ruben H. Gilyard all of Lock Haven; two step-daughters, Gloria “Jean” Showers of McElhattan and Sheryl Caris of Lock Haven; one step-son, Robert Englert (Darlene) of Lock Haven; one sister, Mirriam Rachel Stevenson of Pittsburgh; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren, and several very special nieces and nephews who knew her only as “Gram Carol.”

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Anthony M. “Tony” Snyder; and a step-son, Edward “Butch” Englert.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 p.m.
