Lois E. Romanak

Lois E. Romanak, 96, 14982 Renovo Road, Renovo, died Feb. 18, 2017, in the Bucktail Medical Center, South Renovo.

Born June 18, 1921, in Sterling Run, Lumber Township, Cameron County, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Gertrude Corbet Jordan. On Feb. 22, 1947, she married Joseph Romanak who died June 28, 1996.

A 1939 graduate of the Renovo High School, Lois had worked in the railroad shops from 1943-1946. She was a very active member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Renovo, where she had was a member of and long-time secretary of the church council, a member of the WELCA and a longtime Sunday school teacher.

Lois was a member of the Heritage Park Association, a former Girl Scout Leader, a member of the former Westport Hospital Aid Society and the Bucktail Medical Center Auxiliary.

Survivors include daughter Nora (Tom) Jesberger of Renovo; two sons, David Romanak of DuBois and Joseph (Linda) Romanak of Harrisburg; five grandchildren, Lana, Luke, Brian, Megan and Mark; three great-grandchildren, Gavin, Audrianna and Benjamin; and one step-great-grandson, Nile.

She was predeceased by one son, Stanley Romanak; two brothers, Reid and Robert Jordan; and one sister, Helen Kerstetter.

A memorial service to honor the life of Lois E. Romanak will be held Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the Zion Lutheran Church, Renovo, with Rev. John Harwood officiating.

Friends will be received in the church one hour prior to the services. Interment, North Bend Cemetery, North Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church.
