PrintLloyd B. Fryer Sr., 89, of Jersey Shore, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017, at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.

Born June 13, 1927, in Jersey Shore, he was a son to the late Jacob Fryer and the former Vada Deim.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Esther L. Pringle on Feb. 13, 2006.

They were united in marriage June 21, 1972. He was also preceded in death by a son, Lloyd B. Fryer Jr. on June 10, 2013.

Lloyd honorably served his country on the USS Mississippi in the United States Navy. For many years, he was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and the Jersey Shore Legion and VFW.

He had worked at Rockwell International, Grumman Air in Long Island, and retired from Piper Aircraft in Lock Haven after many years of service.

Surviving are his companion, Pat Marden; son, James L. Fryer; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nona Marshall.

Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 1407 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore. Friends may call from 11 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in the Tombs Run Cemetery with full military honors accorded by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard.
