Carol Elaine (Snavely) Miller

On May 1st, 2017, Carol Elaine (Snavely) Miller, 66, of Lamar, left this Earth to become an angel in Heaven and watch over her husband, children, grandchildren, other family members, and friends. She is survived by her husband Barry. She is further survived by her son Michael (Jessie) Miller of Birdsboro, and their children, Jameson and Sadie; son Scott (Carrie) Miller of Albuquerque, N.M., and their children, Audrey, Isaac and Elise.

The second of four daughters Eloise (Bob), Cindy (Charlie), Kathy (Kenny) to Walter and Mary Lou Snavely, Carol was raised in Tylersville. She met Barry while attending school in Sugar Valley. They dated throughout high school and married in 1970. Afterwards, they moved to Lamar, built their own house in 1972, and began to start their adventures together.

Carol worked as a secretary for several attorneys in Lock Haven before beginning her career with J. Michael Williamson in 1981 at his Law Office where she worked for 12 years. She followed Williamson to the Clinton County Courthouse as his judicial secretary in 1996 where she worked for 18 years until retiring in 2014. During her career as a secretary at the law firm and courthouse, Carol made many close friends with whom she enjoyed shopping trips, luncheons, and gatherings — even after her retirement.

Above all else, Carol loved being a “Grammy.” She regularly made trips to visit her grandchildren in Southeastern Pennsylvania and even all the way out to New Mexico on several occasions. Carol enjoyed spoiling her grandkids with gifts on their birthdays, holidays, and even for no reason at all. Her grandchildren will greatly miss their Grammy.
